The villa lies around 9 kms from Collepepe (27 kms from Todi) in a hilly and quiet location with panoramic views on the surrounding hills. It is encirled by a large garden (completely fenced). From the property it takes, by car, 15 minutes to reach the motorway E45 Terni-Perugia. The whole property is for private use of the tenant. There is a 11x5,5 meter pool at disposition (depth 140cm). Useful information for families with babies/small children, the pool is fenced on three sides while the fence was not been placed on the panoramic side. The tub of the pool is on this side 1 meter higher higher than the drainage channel (see photo on the webpage), so it should not be possible for them to access the pool area. Todi lies in the centre of Umbria. So it is also suitable for visits in all directions to old towns and villages, beautiful monuments, mountains, the lake of Trasimeno, the mountains in the easterly direction, and the neighbouring region of Marche including one of the most impressive stalactite caves in Italy. To the north in a half-hour drive you are in Perugia or Assisi and after a somewhat longer drive in Gubbio, to the west via the road along the lake of Corbara Orvieto and in a southerly direction Spoleto, among other places. It is also true for Todi that in a single holiday you can only see a part of all the things in the surroundings that are worth a visit. Rome and southern Tuscany (Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona, Arezzo) can also be visited from here in day-trips. MIDDLE UMBRIA In Umbria, a region that has gained a name for being the green heart of Italy, tourism is growing because of the unfamiliar harmony between nature, antiquities, historic centres and culture. The quiet of the countryside, good provisions and an inimitable cuisine are the great draw. This region is less touristy than Tuscany and this is especially appreciated by many tourists. Todi is a lovely town and lies in the middle of Umbria, so it is an eccelent point of departure to visit the whole region. The most beautiful towns of Umbria, such as Orvieto, Spoleto, Perugia and the Trasimeno lake, Assisi are all within 30/50 minutes driving. Furthermore, in the immediate surroundings, there are many old and charming villages to visit as Spello, Norcia, the highlands of Castelluccio, Trevi, Bevagna and Montefalco. Montefalco is also well known also for it vineyards and the production of the Rosso di Montefalco and primarily the Sagrantino wines. We advice to visit one or more winiries in this area. Norhtern Lazio (the Bolsena and Bracciano lakes), Rome and southern Tuscany (Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona, Arezzo) can also be visited from here in day-trips. |
