The property lies in the centre of Umbria, 17 kms southern of Perugia (around 15 minutes by car). In old times the edifice was used by Benedictine monks to give shelter to wayfarers, merchants, pilgrims and their horses. There are in total 7 apartments, 6 are rented for long term while this one is rented for holidays. The property is surrounded by a large fenced garden and there is a large pool (16x6 meters) at disposition. The apartment is suitable for up to 8 persons, there are 3 bedrooms (2 with double bed the last with 2 single beds) and there is a sofa bed in the living room. There is a large porch with tables and chairs to eat outdoor. From here you can easily reach the most beautifull towns of Umbria  (Assisi, Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Gubbio, Orvieto) and southern Tuscany (Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Montepulciano). Rome is an hour and a half away by train from Perugia’s Fontivegge station, as is Florence. There are 2 golf courses near the country-house: the golf club of S. Sabina, 6 kilometres away, and the Golf club Lamborghini, at 20 kilometres. A supermarket, bakery and news-stand are only a few minutes away by car. In San Biagio della Valle (1 km) is a supermarket. Baker and bar are located in Pila, only 3 kms far away. Laundry Service at 300 meters. In the small village of Spina, characterized by a castle that dominates the entire valley, there are pharmacy, butcher, supermarket, bank and bar. The nearest restaurant / pizzeria is 1 km far away.

MIDDLE UMBRIA

In Umbria, a region that has gained a name for being the green heart of Italy, tourism is growing because of the unfamiliar harmony between nature, antiquities, historic centres and culture. The quiet of the countryside, good provisions and an inimitable cuisine are the great draw. This region is less touristy than Tuscany and this is especially appreciated by many tourists. Todi is a lovely town and lies in the middle of Umbria, so it is an eccelent point of departure to visit the whole region. The most beautiful towns of Umbria, such as Orvieto, Spoleto, Perugia and the Trasimeno lake, Assisi are all within 30/50 minutes driving. Furthermore, in the immediate surroundings, there are many old and charming villages to visit as Spello, Norcia, the highlands of Castelluccio, Trevi, Bevagna and Montefalco. Montefalco is also well known also for it vineyards and the production of the Rosso di Montefalco and primarily the Sagrantino wines. We advice to visit one or more winiries in this area. Norhtern Lazio (the Bolsena and Bracciano lakes), Rome and southern Tuscany (Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona, Arezzo) can also be visited from here in day-trips.
