It
is an old farm, carefully restored using traditional materials and
techniques: stone walls, wooden ceilings, hand made tile floors welcome the
guests with the warm and simple atmosphere of the good old times. The estate
lies on the border between Tuscany and Umbria near Monteleone di Orvieto, a small village in the Chiana valley.
It's a hilly location, rich of big oaks. The six apartments, obtained by
restoring the typical old stone buildings, are carefully and completely
furnished. Each has own entry, bedroom/s, bathroom/s, kitchen or cooking
corner, private place to stay outside equpped with table and chairs. There is a 7x15 meter
swimming pool in the midst of the green from where you can enjoy a splendid
view over the Chiana Valley which separate Umbria and Tuscany. It lies
around 50 meters from the houses to guarantee quiet
and privacy to all the guests. The pool has an underwater lighting system for
pleasant night swimming and a wide sundeck with lounge chairs. It is
chlorine free, the water is purified using an innovative electrolytic
process; the result is a better quality water which does not smell and does
not irritate skin and eyes. Shops and restaurants are available in the town of
Citta della Pieve (10
kms far away) and Monteleone d'Orvieto (5 kms). There is an Wi-fi internet
connection at disposition for free. A common hall with tables, chairs,
computer & internet connection, piano is available to the guests.

It forms an ideal starting point to visit the most charming towns of
Umbria such as Todi, Orvieto, Narni, Spoleto, Perugia, Gubbio, Spello
and Assisi. In the more immediate surroundings there are numerous
charming little villages. You can also easily visit - in half and day
trips - the most beautiful towns in southern Tuscany such as Siena (100
km far away), Arezzo (80 km), Florence (140 km) and the charming
villages of San Geminiano, Pienza, Cortona, Senalunga, etc. If you want
visit Rome we advise to go by train, the nearest station is in Fabro (8
km), the journey is of around 1h40. In many towns and villages you can
taste local dishes or buy local wines and olive oil (generally of
excellent quality). |
