Located in a tophill position, looking the Umbrian green countryside, is situated the medieval village of Farnetta of Montecastrilli. It has been maintaining the characteristics of rural hamlet surrounded by ancient oak trees named "farnia", from which the village took its name. In the center of the old village there is "Borgo", a pretty apartment where a warm and romantic atmosphere will welcome you. In summer time you enjoy the coolness maintained by the thick walls. 3 km away is an extremely rare example, the only one in Europe: the Dunarobba fossil forest. |
