The property lies around 30 kms from the well known cities of Todi and Spoleto, 5 kms from the town of Acquasparta and 1,7 from the hamlet of Portaria. The house has a large garden with fenced swimming pool, all for private use of the tenant. There are 2 bedrooms (1 room with double bed and the other with two single beds, there is also a baby cot available), 1 bathroom with toilet/shower, living room/dining room with kitchen. There is a large porch equipped with table and chairs to eat outdoor and enjoy the great panoramic view (you can also see the historic village of Portaria). In a corner of the garden there are also a barbecue to cook. The swimming pool is 5 by 10 meter, depth min 1,2m and max 1,5m (the pool area is fenced for the security of tenants with young children). All the most common household appliances are available and there is also a Wi-fi internet connection. Supermarkts and all the necessary shops are available in Acquasparta or in the charming town of San Gemini (6 kms from the property). The nearest restaurant lies in the charming hamlet of Portaria (around 1,7 kms), there is also a small take-away/grocery store there.

SOUTHERN/CENTRE UMBRIA

In Umbria, a region that has gained a name for being the green heart of Italy, tourism is growing because of the unfamiliar harmony between nature, antiquities, historic centres and culture. The quiet of the countryside, good provisions and an inimitable cuisine are the great draw. This region is less touristy than Tuscany and this is especially appreciated by many tourists.

Southern/centre Umbria forms an ideal starting point for enjoying the peace of the surrounding hilly and mountainous landscape and on the other hand making trips to beautifull towns like Todi, Orvieto, Narni, Spoleto, Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi. There are also numerous charming little villages – many of medieval origin - as Amelia, Labro, Spello, Norcia, Bevagna, Montefalco to visit. In many towns and villages you can taste local dishes or buy local wines and olive oil (generally of excellent quality). You can also easily visit – in day trips - famous towns and charming villages in the southern part of Tuscany such as Siena, Arezzo, San Giminiano, Pienza, Cortona, Sinalunga, etc. Many tourists visit also Rome from here (without staying in the city which is very hot in summer) once or more times. It is possible to go by car (journey of 1h-1h30) or by train from the stations of: Terni, Narni-Amelia, Orte & Orvieto.
