Cinzia
is a 1-bedroom flat -
size 30 sq m -
with separate bathroom/toilet and cooking space, on the ground floor in a
narrow street 4 minutes from the Colosseum. A more central location to
visit the historic centre of Rome can hardly be conceived. The flat is
situated in a somewhat little street. But make no mistake, in the
same palazzo one of the best known Italian politicians has an apartment
for when he needs to stay in Rome for the parliamentary sessions. Just
round a couple of areas you see the Coliseum in all its glory and also
other very well known monuments of this city. The street is quiet because
the main traffic doesn't come long here.
The
flat is reasonably maintained, but the furnishing is simple.
The outside light hardly penetrates; even during the day you will need
lighting. We have included Cinzia in the Casamerina programme because
it is affordable for young people and others who have to watch the pennies.
The flat is suitable for 2/4 people. The
owner is an extremely helpful woman. She has drawn our attention to the
fact that the flat is a bit noisy when passers-by make a racket.
There is electric heating but by northern standards perhaps not enough for the cold
months from 15 Nov to 1 March. In the summer months, on the other hand,
the flat is particularly attractive because the summer heat penetrates
less.
