Just
outside Volterra is also Marinella, a complex of holiday homes with 7
apartments and a few rooms. It has been completely renovated in the old
style and mostly fitted out with furniture in the antique style. An
intimate old private chapel has been fitted out for those who wish to eat
meals at home. It is in a beautiful setting and with a natural swimming
pool. In my youth natural swimming pools were normal but with the dirtying
of the surface water the modern use of chlorine came in. Now you see the
opposite process: back to nature and water cleansing using biological
processes. |
